Project Description
This development of six houses is located in a sensitive conservation setting opposite the village church and flanked by Listed buildings. It replaced an unremarkable 1950’s house which previously occupied the site. The design approach was to create a traditional large principal residence facing the High Street with a row of smaller scale cottages to the rear together with two timber clad properties beyond. The later properties relate to the Listed barns adjacent and back onto open countryside.
This project was shortlisted in the National Housing Awards 2017 for best small development.
