Construction work has recently been completed on the renovation of Hope Street Yard under the new owners Camel Projects. This area located off Mill Road has long been the home of small craft workshops, furniture repair and cycle shops and artist's studios, many housed in no more than lock-up garages which had fallen into disrepair. These have now been brought up to modern standards and let to new tenants. A new-build element has also been created (planning consent for this was  implemented some 30 years ago). All units are heated via Air Source Heat Pumps and, in conjunction with PV panels, achieve an 'A' Energy Rating. Materials reflect a semi-industrial aesthetic and include corrugated metal roofs and Crittall style windows. External spaces have been carefully landscaped to help create a vibrant space for small businesses.
