Construction has just been completed for 6No. family houses (of circa 250m2 each). Three dwellings are sited along the Queen Edith’s Way frontage with the remainder located towards the rear of the site, served from a private road. A contemporary approach which responds to the surrounding suburban vernacular has been taken. The house types have been conceived as simple gable-ended forms with modern double-height bay windows. Other details include chimneys, recessed porches and interior lightwells. Secondary lower scale elements have been introduced to provide a varied roofline and to introduce a transition in scale between neighbouring properties.
