Project Description

The site is situated just outside the historic centre of the village on a hillside with views overlooking back towards the High Street. This site was acquired by our client with an outline planning approval for three dwellings. The current proposal is for a single large house with a smaller separate unit designed for a family member. The main house is deliberately broken up into smaller elements to assimilate with the scale of nearby development. These elements vary in terms of function, scale and materials and are intended to give to impression of a collection of outbuildings . The composition was explored with a physical model.
